While I don’t usually post about games, I thought I’d make an exception in this case. Mainly because it’s not about the game itself but about the advertising campaign for the game. It certainly doesn’t hurt that I’m a huge fan of the franchise and am eagerly awaiting to get some play time in. But, I must say, this might just be one of the best advertising campaigns I’ve ever seen for a game. At least from what I’ve been exposed to online. It actually steps above amazing into the truly mind-blowing realm.
From the first time I saw the Hollywood tentpole-style live action trailer, where I actually “gasped,” to the super-cool Pre-Mission Eval micro-site, where my jaw literally dropped, I was immediately sold.
Overall, it’s a phenomenal online campaign - one of the most compelling campaigns I’ve seen in a while for a video game - and my hat goes off to all involved. The live action trailer really put it over the top for me… scoring a major home-run.
